Wow. Awesome app design.
Absolutely love it. I usually dont like black icons, but this one has a matte look that looks great on my home screen. I really like the quirkiness of the app design. So simple yet shows a personality of its own.
What I dont understand is how come Ive never seen this app searching for flashlight and torch? Apparently its in the apps name. Ive searched and purchased any good looking paid flashlight app I could find, because who wants to have ads on their flashlight? Almost all of them just try to replicate a real flashlight look and most have too much features for a simple flashlight.
An app I had settle on before I discovered Lumee was Lighty. Lighty has only one feature, it turns on and off. It also has a simple and clean design that I like. However, the developer over simplified when they left out any sort of audio feedback for clicking the on/off button. Lumee fills that void. It has a satisfying click feedback. More than just that, Lumee is special. Just two dots and a ring and it makes the user feel like its a companion and not just a dumb flashlight. Thats no knock on Lighty, its an excellent app. And some will prefer its simpleness without SOS, strobe light, and brightness control. However, Lumee quirkiness just tops it for me.
Im giving the app 5 stars, but theres one thing thats bothering me that I hope the developer would add. Please have an option to turn off SOS and strobe light modes completely. I keep inadvertently switch to them while swiping to adjust the brightness.
